.....

spoken to I's shadow as I walk
wanted was someone who wouldn’t talk

wanted someone, as to be alone
wanted to hold a hand but preferably without bone

wanted to express, but a response wasn't needed
wanted to pour out I's heart without feeling beaten

wanted to talk and talk and talk
as continued to walk and walk and walk

so many thoughts for pondering ear
but it’s a shadow who can’t even hear

after was poured and waited for reply
but it’s a shadow, so I’m not sure why

thought would feel better by talking so much
but how can feel loved isolated from the bunch

have learned that shadows, anything I can tell
and surely they do, they listen so well

but have come to find out, would rather not be alone
life can be hard when left on I's own

even in ups and downs, would it be known
if shadow wasn't with I,

I still could talk to I's own bone

.....
