Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal wants to "improve" his squad in the January transfer window - but admits it is not the "ideal time to do business".
In the programme for that match, Van Gaal writes he would strengthen "if the opportunity does arise" and he and his coaches feel "something can be done".
But he adds: "I don't see January as the ideal time to do business."
Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale, 26, is among the players to have been linked with a January move to Old Trafford.
