Tumblr user swiked uploaded the image just one day ago begging for users to help settle the debate between her and her friends - and it's already had nearly 230,000 notes from commenters fighting it out on its palette.
"I am seeing Blue and Black, how are people seeing it different? Is there some sort of mind sorcery happening here?" swiked wrote.
"SPREAD THIS UNTIL IT REACHES NASA WE MUST FIND ANSWERS."

in the Stuff office, your resident Life & Style editors see gold and white, but others in the team see blue and black and even a completely different mix of colours every time they look at it.
Perhaps it's some kind of colour blindness or perception trickery, but we just can't figure it out.
