Embracing one of Thailand’s most treasured traditions, Miss World Opal Suchata Chuangsri has been honored as the symbolic Songkran Lady of Thailand 2026, representing Nang Raksasa Thevi.

Nang Raksasa Thevi is one of the seven mythical Songkran Goddesses in Thai tradition, known collectively as the Nang Songkran. Each year of the Thai New Year festival, Songkran, one of these celestial daughters of the god Kabil Maha Phrom is designated to represent the year, based on the day of the week on which Songkran falls.

Songkran marks a moment when Thailand opens its heart to the world through kindness, joy, and the warmth of its people. Dressed in exquisite traditional Thai attire, Opal embodies the spirit of her nation and its rich traditions.
