NASA is asking China for some of CNSA's (China National Space Agency) moon samples. Context: In 2011, the US banned China from collaborating on its space station. China reaction was to build a more advanced space station, retrieve moon samples with robots and land the first rover on the far side of the moon. China should insist on the repealing of the 'Wolf Amendment,' which currently constitutes an ongoing insult China. If the US wants China to share the spoils of China's hard work, the US should begin by reciprocating in kind. Plain and simple. Below is a picture, I took, of a small sample of moon regolith in the Chinese 'National Museum' in Beijing. I was so excited to stand just feet from the moon in real life. If NASA and the US scientific community wants to share in the fruit of Chinese innovation and scientific expertise, they need to show some good faith and sincerity.
