As สามารถเป็น relative pronoun ได้หรอ

อ่านหนังสืออาจารย์เลิศแล้วงงมากครับ
เช่น ประโยคนี้ the same man as came yesterday has come again.
หนังสือบอกว่าหากใช้ as เป็น relative pronoun จะต้องมี the same นำหน้าเสมอ อยูเดี่ยวๆไม่ได้
เลยสงสังประโยคนี้
My position is the same as yours.
As ในที่นี้ขยายอะไรหรอครับ
มีอีกประโยคที่แบบว่า

The train might be late, as happened yesterday.
ไม่เห็นมี the same เลยแต่ทำไมเป็น relative pronoun ้ครับ งงมาก
