Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting the efficiency of the procurement water resources development projects of Royal Irrigation Department. The specific purpose wanted to study general conditions and factors that affect the effectiveness of the procurement water resources development projects of Royal Irrigation Department. Bidding data had been collected as from January to December 2015, the results were analyzed by using linear regression analysis to test the hypotheses.
Results of this study revealed that there were three factors that contribute to the efficiency of the procurement water resources development projects of Royal Irrigation Department. Firstly number of bidders, when the number of bidders increased efficiency of the procurement increased as well in the same direction because of definitely price competition. Secondly region, Northern region was the most effective area for procurement while Northeastern region came secondly. Thirdly type of project procurement, Lum Sum project was less effective than other type of project procurement.
Any factors other than above were Central region, Western region, Eastern region, Southern region, e-auction, price-based method, construction project, rental project, and procurement project did not affect the efficiency of the procurement water resources development projects of Royal Irrigation Department.
