Your level of the language must be reasonable to be able to arrange all that. That is good.
1. Totally depends on your supporting documents.
2. Tier 4 (Child) would be more appropriate.
3. You definitely need the letter. Whether you get a visa or not depends on 1.
4. If you host sponsor is prepared to fully sponsor you (make sure you have that in writing, as well as a bank statement, to show the UK consulate), I don't see why your mother has to. If your host cannot give you her financial information in support of your visa application you will have to find another financial sponsor in Thailand other than your parents.

Additional evidence if you are staying with a resident British citizen or other UK resident who is a close relative or in a private foster care arrangement
If you are living with a resident British citizen or other UK resident who is a close relative or in a private foster care arrangement, you must show that you have suitable arrangements in place for your care. You must show us all the below evidence:
i. A written (undertaking) letter from the intended carer confirming the care arrangement which must show:
the name, current address and contact details of the intended carer; and
the address where the carer and you will be living in the UK if different from the intended carer’s current address; and
confirmation that the accommodation offered to you is a private address, and not operated as a commercial enterprise, like a hotel or a youth hostel; and
the nature of the relationship between your parent(s) or legal guardian and your intended carer; and
that your intended carer agrees to the care arrangements for you; and
that they have at least £570 per month (up to a maximum of nine months) available to look after and accommodate you for the length of your course; and
a list of any other people that your intended carer has offered support to; and
their signature and date of the undertaking.
ii. A letter from your parent(s) or legal guardian confirming the care arrangement which must show:
the nature of their relationship with the intended carer; and
the address in the UK where you and your intended carer will be living; and
that your parent(s) or legal guardian support the application, and
authorise the intended carer to take responsibility for the care of you during your stay in the UK.
iii Proof to confirm the intended carer is allowed to be in the UK which must be either:
their current UK or European Union passport; or
their current passport or travel document to confirm that they are allowed to stay in the UK; or
their certificate of naturalisation.
(We will accept a notarised copy of the original passport or travel document, but reserve the right to request the original.)
If you are living with a close relative, no further documentation is required.

สอบถามเรื่อง วีซ่าอังกฤษ
หนูอายุ 16 ปี พึ่งจบจากชั้นม.4 กำลังจะขึ้นม.5 มีแพลนจะไปเรียนต่อที่อังกฤษ(ไปเรียนม.5ที่นั่นค่ะ) สมัครเรียนเอง ไม่ผ่านเอเจนซี่ใดๆนะคะ ตอนแรกก็คิดว่าจะไปแลกเปลี่ยนที่นั่นสัก 1-3 เดือน เพราะค่าใช้จ่ายที่นั่นสูงมาก หนูสมัครเข้าที่โรงเรียน A โรงเรียน A ก็รับหนูเข้าเรียนและหาโฮสต์ให้เพราะเห็นว่าฐานะทางบ้านไม่ดีและหนูต้องไปอยู่ที่นั่นคนเดียว หนูได้โฮสต์ แต่โฮสต์ของหนูประสบอุบัติเหตุและเสียชีวิต 2 คน เหลือแค่โฮสต์ผู้หญิงชาวอังกฤษ
เธอบอกว่าจะรับหนูไปอยู่ด้วยเพราะว่าเธอเพิ่งจะสูญเสียลูกสาวและสามีของเธอ โดยเธอจะดูแลหนูทุกอย่าง เช่น ค่าเทอม ค่าอุปกรณ์การเรียน ค่ากิน
เธอจะให้หนูไปอยู่กับเธอ 2 ปี (เรียนจนจบม.6ที่นั่น) และหนูก็มีแพลนว่าจะเรียนต่อปริญญาที่นั่น ซึ่งบ้านหนูก็ไม่ได้ร่ำรวยอะไร พอมีพอกิน
แม่รับราชการเงินเดือน 35000 บาท แต่เงินในบัญชีที่ได้จากการทำงานเหลือน้อย แม่ก็ทำงานงานพิเศษควบคู่ไปด้วย ได้เงินประมาณ 25000 บาท แต่เงินที่ได้ไม่ผ่านบัญชีธนาคาร แม่มีเงินเก็บอีกบัญชีนึงประมาณ 1 แสนบาท พ่อทำงานได้เดือนละ 25000 ไม่ผ่านบัญชีธนาคาร
หนูอยากถามว่า
1.กรณีนี้วีซ่านักเรียนจะผ่านมั้ยคะ?
2.ถ้าวีซ่านักเรียนผ่าน ควรทำวีซ่าแบบไหนดีคะ? Tier 4 child หรือ general ?
3.ถ้าให้ทางนู้นเขียนจดหมายเชิญและออกค่าใช้จ่ายให้ โอกาสได้วีซ่าจะเพิ่มมากขึ้นมั้ยคะ?
4. แม่หนูต้องทำ Bank Statement มั้ยคะ?
