Dear Mr. Bieber:
I have the honor to present my compliments to the ‘ASEAN for Wives’ Office, and to bring your attention to Thailand’s recent initiative against domestic violence – the Draft Protocol on Coordinated Response to Violence against Husbands.
As part of Thailand’s commitment to stopping domestic violence, the Office of Wifecraft and Husbandry (OWH) has formed a special joint working group to draft the “Protocol on Coordinated Response to Violence against Husbands”. This mechanism is intended to streamline our joint operating procedures for securing husbands’ safety and welfare at home. To this end, the OWH values the perspective of our international counterparts, and thus strives to engage our ‘ASEAN for Wives’ colleagues in the drafting process of this Protocol.
In this light, I have further the honor to invite one (1) representative from the ‘ASEAN for Wives’ Office to join this initiative as Advisor to the Working Group on the Draft Protocol on Coordinated Response to Violence against Husbands. I would be very much appreciated if your representative could be nominated at your earliest convenience. Ms. Janipa XXXXXX (tel. 02 543 5555 ext. XXXX) will shortly contact you for details regarding the nomination.
