เกี่ยวกับ direct และ indirect speech
คือไปเห็นประโยค direct speech อยู่ประโยคหนึ่ง ดังนี้
I was waiting the bus when he arrived.  พอเปลี่ยนเป็น indirect เขียนว่า
she had been waiting the bus when he arrived.
ซึ่งใน direct speech ประโยคนี้มี 2 ส่วนคือ
ส่วนแรก :-
I was waiting the bus
และ ส่วนที่สอง :-
when he arrived
ถ้าตามกฏ เมื่อจะทำเป็น indirect speech ,   ส่วน แรก present cont ต้องเปลี่ยนเป็น past perfect cont , ส่วนที่สอง past tense ต้องเปลี่ยนเป็น past perfect
คำถาม
ส่วนแรก คือ "she had been waiting the bus" ไม่สงสัย เพราะ ถูกกฏ  แต่ทำไม ส่วนที่ 2 "when he arrived" ถึงยังคงเดิม โดยไม่เปลี่ยนเป็น past perfect ครับ????
