after reaching the quarter-finals of the Sony Open Tennis in Miami (l. to Nishikori).
The Swiss, who had
fallen to No. 8 after the Australian Open – his lowest position
for nearly 12 years - leads the ATP World Tour with a 22-4 match record this season
and now trails third-placed countryman
Stanislas Wawrinka by just 515 points.
Also
Tomas Berdych returns to the Top 5 for the first time since September
after a semi-final showing in Miami. The Czech usurps David Ferrer,
who falls out of the Top 5 for the first time since June 2012.
