Canine babesiosis is a tick-borne blood parasitic disease caused by Babesia spp. (Schoeman, 2009). This disease was first discovery in 1885 from South Africa by Hatcheon (  ). Babesia parasitesin dog  aredivided into 2 types, large Babesia and small Babesia, based on their size. The dog infected with Babesia show clinical signs such as fever, depression, tachycardia, tachypnea, splenomegaly, icterus, hemolytic anemia and thrombocytopenia (Furlanello et al., 2005). Moreover, babesiosis can causes renal failure, hepatomegaly, respiratory distress, myocardial lesion, and affect central nervous system (Rafael Ruiz de Gopegui et al., 2007). Babesia can infect dogs of all ages but the most seriously life-threatening dogs are puppy. The clinical signs of infected dogs are vary depending on the type of Babesia, host immunity, age, co-infection and endemic area.
