When we went for holiday in a club, I saw many kids hang around or swim in the pool with their brothers/sisters.
Their parents just laid down reading or sunbathing, even it was deep water area.
Thing is most Farang kids could swim. They learn in school or take extra lesson.
My kids passed the first test (swimming at 20 m non-stop) at 5 yrs and when they turned 6, they asked for surfing class,
which the trainers just dragged them right in the ocean (among other surfers).
My husband never looks at my kids when we are on holiday and stay by the pool.
He just enjoys the sun like other parents. It's me who (still) keep my eyes on them closely (pretend to be in a distance 555).
He said kids had to learn (to take care of themselves)!
Sometimes they surf out in the big lake, which adult like me feel so uncertain. But kids just have fun.
They do canoeing, shallow water diving, which my mother would scream out of the hell at me if she saw this.
But my husband just let our kids (now 8 and 9) do what they'd like.
Moreover, you will see Farangs just ride a bike and let their kids ride along, making most of the decisions
where to turn, to stop. Or when they cross the street, they hardly hold their
kids's hands. I think they have home disciplines and parents want them to learn to live anormal life.

มีพ่อแม่คนไหนมั๊ย ที่ให้ลูกว่ายน้ำออกทะเลห่างฝั่งไม่มาก ที่ลึกกว่า 2 เมตรได้
ว่ายน้ำออกออกจากฝั่งมา 50 เมตร ลึกกว่า 2 เมตรได้
ทำให้มีคำถามถึงการเลี้ยงดูลูกของคนไทย และฝรั่ง
จริงๆอยากรู้ว่าฝรั่งเลี้ยงดู และดูแลลูกอย่างไร
และอยากรู้ว่า
