ประกาศเปลี่ยนแปลงเงื่อนไขวีซ่านักเรียน NZ เรื่องการทำงานระหว่างเรียน มีผลตั้งแต่ปี 2014 เป็นต้นไป

The work rights changes will allow more English language students studying at high-quality providers to work part-time. The changes also provide full-time work rights during all scheduled holidays to international students who take a course of one academic year or more, and give unlimited work rights to international PhD and Masters by research students.

New work rights eligibility requirements for English language students will:
• reduce the minimum course length from six months to 14 weeks;
• remove the language proficiency requirement; and
• limit eligibility to students who are enrolled with a university or with a non-university
tertiary provider that is rated: Category 1 following its most recent External Evaluation and
Review (EER) assessment by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority

Unlimited work rights for PhD and Masters by research students will remove the 20-hour-a -week
limit on work rights for international students doing Masters by research or doctoral degrees where
they are enrolled in a qualification that is awarded by a New Zealand tertiary institution.
