วันที่ 9 - 10 เมษายน 2569 ณ โรงแรม Hotel Des Indes กรุงเฮก เนเธอร์แลนด์ กรมส่งเสริมวัฒนธรรม กระทรวงวัฒนธรรม จัดโครงการส่งเสริมและเผยแพร่ชุดไทย : มรดกภูมิปัญญาผ้าไทยและศิลปหัตถกรรมไทยสู่เวทีสากล กิจกรรมเผยแพร่ประชาสัมพันธ์ชุดไทยพระราชนิยมในประเทศและต่างประเทศ (Roadshow) ครั้งที่ 1
โดยในวันที่ 9 เมษายน 2569 สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา เสด็จมาทรงเป็นองค์ปาฐกในงานเสวนาวิชาการและการถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ชุดไทยพระราชนิยม และทรงบรรยายในหัวข้อ
“วิวัฒนาการของชุดไทยและผ้าไทย” “CHUD THAI KNOWLEDGE, CRAFTSMANSHIP AND PRACTICES OF THE THAI NATIONAL COSTUME” ประกอบการแสดงแบบชุดไทยพระราชนิยมทั้ง 8 แบบ และเสื้อพระราชทานทั้ง 3 แบบ ทั้งนี้ ในงานยังมีการสาธิตกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์เครื่องประดับไทยโบราณ อาทิเช่น งานจักสานย่านลิเภา และ งานปักดิ้นเงินดิ้นทอง เป็นต้น โดยกิจกรรมทั้งหมดถูกนําเสนอในฐานะงานออกแบบร่วมสมัยที่สะท้อนโครงสร้างเชิงศิลป์ มิใช่เพียงวัตถุทางประวัติศาสตร์ หากแต่เป็นมรดกที่ยังคงมีชีวิตและสามารถพัฒนาได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง
การจัดงานในครั้งนี้ถือเป็นรากฐานสําคัญของการพัฒนาชุดไทยสู่เวทีโลก สืบเนื่องมาจากพระราชปณิธานของสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ผู้ทรงมุ่งมั่นอนุรักษ์และสืบสานมรดกทางศิลปวัฒนธรรมของชาติ โดยเฉพาะด้านเครื่องแต่งกาย ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในอัตลักษณ์สําคัญของประเทศไทย โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก คณะทูตประจําประเทศเนเธอร์แลนด์ คณะเอกอัครราชทูตจํานวน 34 ประเทศ และคู่สมรส องค์การระหว่างประเทศ ผู้อํานวยการใหญ่องค์การห้ามอาวุธเคมี พร้อมคู่สมรส ผู้บริหารศาลประจําอนุญาโตตุลาการ (Permanent Court of Arbitration) ผู้บริหารคณะกรรมการ UNESCO แห่งชาติของเนเธอร์แลนด์ และภาคเอกชน เป็นต้น
ตลอดระยะเวลาที่ผ่านมา สมเด็จพระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ทรงฉลองพระองค์ชุดไทยพระราชนิยมในหลากหลายโอกาส เสมือนการใช้เครื่องแต่งกายเป็น “สื่อทางวัฒนธรรม” เพื่อถ่ายทอดภาพลักษณ์ของประเทศไทยในเวทีนานาชาติ และในปี พ.ศ. 2567 คณะรัฐมนตรีมีมติเห็นชอบให้เสนอ
“ชุดไทย : ความรู้ งานช่างฝีมือ และแนวปฏิบัติการแต่งกายชุดไทยประจําชาติ” ต่อองค์การยูเนสโก เพื่อพิจารณาขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นรายการตัวแทนมรดกวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ของมนุษยชาติ ในการประชุมคณะกรรมการระหว่างรัฐบาลว่าด้วยการสงวนรักษามรดกวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ ครั้งที่ 21 ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นในช่วงเดือนธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2569
ชุดไทยพระราชนิยม ประกอบด้วย 8 รูปแบบ ได้แก่ ชุดไทยเรือนต้น ชุดไทยจิตรลดา ชุดไทยอมรินทร์ ชุดไทยบรมพิมาน ชุดไทยดุสิต ชุดไทยจักรี ชุดไทยศิวาลัย และชุดไทยจักรพรรดิ ซึ่งได้รับพระราชทานนามตามพระที่นั่งและพระตําหนักในพระบรมมหาราชวังและพระราชวังดุสิต อีกทั้งยังมีเสื้อพระราชทานสําหรับบุรุษ 3 รูปแบบ สะท้อนถึงเกียรติยศและความภาคภูมิใจของผู้สวมใส่ ตลอดจนพัฒนาการของมรดกเครื่องแต่งกายไทยที่สืบทอดมาอย่างยาวนาน

The Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture of Thailand, organizes a project to promote and disseminate the cultural heritage of Thai textiles and craftsmanship on the global stage, entitled
“CHUD THAI: KNOWLEDGE, CRAFTSMANSHIP AND PRACTICES OF THE THAI NATIONAL COSTUME,” highlighting the evolution of Thai costume and Thai textiles. This initiative serves as an international public relations activity presenting Chud Thai Phra Rajaniyom (Thai National Costume) abroad through its first roadshow in The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands.
On 9 - 10 April 2026, at Hotel Des Indes, The Hague, the Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture, organizes this project to promote and disseminate Chud Thai as a cultural heritage of Thai textiles and craftsmanship on the global stage. This marks the first international public relations roadshow of Chud Thai Phra Rajaniyom, both domestically and internationally.
On 9 April 2026, Her Royal Highness Princess SirivannavariNariratana Rajakanya graciously presides over and delivers the keynote address at the academic seminar and knowledge-sharing session on Chud Thai Phra Rajaniyom. Her Royal Highness also delivers a lecture on the topic
“The Evolution of Thai Costume and Thai Textiles” under the theme “CHUD THAI: KNOWLEDGE, CRAFTSMANSHIP AND PRACTICES OF THE THAI NATIONAL COSTUME.” The program features presentations of all eight styles of Chud Thai Phra Rajaniyom for women and three styles of Phra Rajathan shirts for men.
The event also includes demonstrations of traditional Thai craftsmanship processes, such as Yan Lipao (climbing fern) basketry and gold and silver thread embroidery. All activities are presented as contemporary design works reflecting artistic structure—not merely as historical artifacts, but as a living heritage that continues to evolve.
This event represents an important foundation for advancing Chud Thai onto the global stage, rooted in the royal initiative of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, who has been dedicated to preserving and sustaining Thailand’s cultural heritage, particularly in the field of attire, which is one of the country’s key identities. The event is honored by the presence of the diplomatic corps in the Netherlands, ambassadors from 34 countries and their spouses, representatives of international organizations, including the Director-General of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and spouse, executives of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, representatives of the Netherlands National Commission for UNESCO, and representatives from the private sector.
Over the years, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother has worn Chud Thai Phra Rajaniyom on various occasions, effectively using attire as a “cultural medium” to communicate Thailand’s image on the international stage. In 2024, the Cabinet approved the nomination of “Chud Thai: Knowledge, Craftsmanship and Practices of the Thai National Costume” to UNESCO for consideration for inscription on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity at the 21st session of the Intergovernmental Committee, to be held in December 2026.
Chud Thai Phra Rajaniyom comprises eight styles: Thai RueanTon, Thai Chitralada, Thai Amarin, Thai Boromphiman, Thai Dusit, Thai Chakri, Thai Siwalai and Thai Chakraphat—royally named after halls and residences within the Grand Palace and Dusit Palace. In addition, there are three styles of Phra Rajathan shirts for men, reflecting dignity, pride, and the long-standing evolution of Thai attire as a cultural heritage.
“Chud Thai Phra Rajaniyom” is therefore regarded as a highly valuable cultural heritage bestowed upon the Thai people. It represents the origin of a concept that has been extended toward the development of Thai identity in the global context and serves as an inspiration for further development in all dimensions.
Today, Chud Thai Phra Rajaniyom continues to be preserved and developed, reflecting the dynamic nature of Thai culture that adapts to contemporary contexts while maintaining its essential essence. This presentation is therefore not merely an act of preservation, but a reinterpretation in a contemporary dimension—where craftsmanship becomes cultural capital, and Thai identity is conveyed as a living value, ready to achieve sustainable recognition on the global stage.
