"There are beautiful and difficult moments in sports, and unfortunately, injuries are a big part of our lives. I was dealing with minor issues throughout the year that eventually became more serious. I couldn’t endure the pain anymore, so I had to make this difficult decision. It was hard, but I believe it’s the right choice for me at this moment. The pain had become too severe, so I underwent a routine procedure last week. This was due to the intense training schedule I had last year, and it was the only option to help me recover.
I’ve already started my rehabilitation. 💪🏼 I will work as hard as possible to wear the jersey of the Slovenian national team as soon as possible and I will do everything in my power to help 🇸🇮 go to the Olympic Games this summer. Thanks to everyone for your support. It really means a lot to me.❤️"
