If the 0.1% on sales transaction is enforced, KGI will take a massive hit fundamentally.
* The majority of profit (I say more than 70% of trading gains) is from DWs and the tax will impact KGI's abilities to delta hedge. Currently KGI's DW market marker pays only exchanges fee which is 0.007% when they buy/sell stocks.. the 0.1% is 14x that amount ... this tax liability is real and is something that need close monitoring if you own KGI.
* Secondly - HFT clients will have to stop the business. How can client pay 0.1% tax on sales when trading almost 10 bn baht a day. So you can expect KGI market share to drop significantly to level of ard 3%.
