Cairo Hosts Girls U18 World championship Drawing of lots
Cairo, Egypt, June 28, 2019- The Drawing of lots for the 2019 Girls U18 World championship was hosted in Cairo, Egypt on Friday in presence of Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Mr Ashraf Sobhy and CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani.
Hosts Egypt were drawn in Pool A along with Brazil, China, Cameroon and Puerto Rico, while Pool B figures top ranked team of this age category Italy, with USA, Korea, Canada and Mexico.
Russia head Pool C that include also Argentina, Belarus, Thailand and Romania, while as Turkey line up against Japan, Peru, Bulgaria and RD Congo in Pool D.
Each of the preliminary pool play in a round robin format where the top 2 in each play for the top 8 in the final standings.
Egypt host the competition for the first time September 5 to 14, 2019.
