Git คืออะไรหรอครับ ผมไม่ค่อยเข้าใจ

ตอนแรกมาจากสงสัย Github (รู้ว่าเป็นเวบของพวกโปรแกรมเมอรแหละ แต่ไม่เคลียว่าคืออะไร)
ปรากฏว่าเป็นไซตที่หลายคนเข้ามาอีดิทโค้ดกันได้ (ถูกไหมครับ /ผิดขออภัย correct ผมทีครับ)

แต่พอไปอ่านก็งง Git มันคือยังไงอะครับ โปรแกรมหรอครับ?
