CLINICAL INFORMATION
A case of right knee pain.
TECHNIQUE AND SEQUENCES: 1.5 TESLA
Sagittal oblique PDWI, T2WI FS
Axial TIWI, PDWI FS
Coronal oblique TIWI, T2WI FS, GRE T2*WI
Coronal oblique for ACL T2WI FS
FINDINGS
ACL and PCL
There are normal size, alignment and signal intensity of ACL and PCL.
Medial Tibiofemoral Compartment
Medial meniscus shows normal contour and signal intensity. The medial collateral ligamentous complex re intact. The articular cartilage appears normal. No subchondral marrow is observed.
Lateral Tibiofemoral Compartment
Lateral meniscus shows normal contour and signal intensity. The iliotibial band, LCL, popliteus and biceps Femoris tendons show no abnormal signal intensity. The articular cartilage appears normal. No subchondral narrow edema is observed.
Patellofemoral Compartment
Patella is in normal position. There is no cartilaginous loss of the patella or femoral trochlea. Mild edema of Hoffa fat's pad inferior to the patella is noted. The patellar retinaculae, quadriceps and patellar tendon show normal size and signal intensity. Thin medial plica is observed.

Small amount of joint effusion is noted. No fracture or osteochondral body is detected. The visualized uscles, popliteal vessels, tibial and common peroneal nerve are unremarkable.
IMPRESSION
Mild edema of Hoffa fat's pad inferior to the patella.
No evidence of osteochondral injury, ligament or meniscus tear of right knee.
Small amount of knee joint effusion.
