เคยเห็นสื่อไทยบางสื่อแปลว่า "โฆษกสภาผู้แทนราษฎร" ซึ่งผิด ตำแหน่งนี้ก็คือ chair man หรือประธานสมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎรสหรัฐฯ ต้องเป็น สส. และถูกเลือกตั้งจากสมาชิกสภาผู้แทนฯทั้งหมด ที่มีได้ไม่เกิน 435 คนตามกฎหมาย House Speaker ในสหรัฐฯ เป็นตำแหน่งสูงสุดอันดับ 3 ของประเทศ รองจากประธานาธิบดี รองประธานาธิบดี (ที่เป็นประธานวุฒิสภาโดยตำแหน่ง)
