Gao Xixi’s period action title, in post-production, revolves around a trio of gangsters battling each other and rival mobsters in 1930s Shanghai. Starring Peter Ho (Monkey King 3d , Sword Master 3d ), Huang Zitao (You Are My Sunshine)and veteran actor Wang Xueqi (Iron Man 3), the film is one of the first major productions from Hong Kong-based YL Pictures, a subsidiary of China’s Yongle Group. Gao previously directed top-rated TV dramas including Legend Of Chu And Han, Three Kingdoms and Shanghai Bund.

Mr. Feng is the rule maker of the Bund in Shanghai. In order to seek hegemony in the Bund, he sends his henchman Li to release Qiang from the prison to become his right hand man. Meanwhile he’s planning to eradicate Nie Renwang, the boss of Hong Gang, and Doupon, the consul of the French Concession.
Qiang and Li appreciate each other and thus become sworn brothers. In fact, Qiang has fallen for Mr. Feng’s daughter, Cheng, at the first sight. But Cheng’s always fond of Qiang secretly. But Qiang just learns that Yan, the woman he adores, is the mistress of Mr. Feng. To break through these complex relations, Qiang seizes a chance to assassinate Mr. Feng, Nie Renwang and Doupon, with the real purpose to rescue Yan. But unfortunately, Yan’s identity is revealed so she commits suicide with a shot. Will Mr. Feng find out Qiang’s real identity at last? Will Qiang and Li turn against each other? How is Cheng going to face the life-or-death battle between his father and his love?
