Thomas Vermaelen: Arsene Wenger says captain may leave
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has suggested club captain Thomas Vermaelen may leave the Gunners.
The Belgian defender, 28, has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
Speaking at a news conference on Friday, Wenger said: "Vermaelen is injured. It is a possibility that he goes."
Vermaelen made 14 Premier League appearances for Arsenal last season.
