Ekaterinburg, Russia, August 11, 2013 – Italy coach Marco Mencarelli Italy has praised his team’s tactics after their 3-0 win over Thailand (25-18, 25-14, 29-27) in the FIVB Grand Prix on Sunday.
“I would like to thank my team,” said Mencarelli. “We realised all the strategies we were talking about, all the tactics we discussed. The girls coped with everything. In the third set, we faced some difficulties, but not because we started to play worse but because Thailand started to play better. We started to take risks in service and in attack, and this helped us.”
