TREATMENT OF SHIN CORPORATION PCL IN THE MSCI THAILAND INDEX

There is currently uncertainty at the Stock Exchange of Thailand with respect to
domestic/foreign classification of one of the major shareholders of Shin
Corporation PCL. If the Stock Exchange of Thailand were to reclassify this
shareholder from domestic status to foreign status MSCI would review the Foreign
Inclusion Factor (FIF) of Shin Corporation PCL and its eligibility for inclusion
in the MSCI Thailand Index as part of the May 2013 Semi-Annual Index Review.
