Cory Monteith, star of Fox’s “Glee,” has died at the age of 31.
The actor was found dead at Vancouver’s Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel Saturday.
Monteith, a native of Canada, landed the role of high school jock Finn Hudson on “Glee” in 2009. The thesp’s credits before his tenure on “Glee” included “Final Destination 3,” “The Invisible,” “Monte Carlo” and a recurring role on “Kyle XY,” but it was his time on Fox’s musical theater dramedy that proved to be the breakout role for Monteith’s career.
Monteith has admitted to substance abuse issues in the past, and earlier this year completed a stint in rehab.
He has been romantically linked to “Glee” co-star Lea Michele
